Traditionally, song, music, and dance lived together. Join us as we explore what happens when they meet again.

Join Colúr—Maldon Meehan, Autumn Rhodes, and Ben Roberts—for a unique day of Irish music, song, and dance workshops exploring the connections between these living traditions.

In traditional Irish communities, singers, musicians, and dancers often learned and shared together. These workshops invite participants back into that spirit, combining focused instruction with opportunities to experience how music, song, and dance inform and inspire one another.

Voice, Feet & Backing

11:00am–1:00pm
Songs in English, Accompaniment & Sean-nós Dance

Singers, accompanists, and dancers will work in separate groups before coming back together to explore the relationship between voice, instrumental backing, and dance.

Melody, Backing & Feet

2:30pm–4:30pm
Irish Music for Musicians & Dancers

Melody players, accompanists, and dancers will explore rhythm, phrasing, lift, and the creative interplay that brings traditional music and dance to life.

Participants are welcome to stay within one area of focus or move between groups throughout the day, observing and learning from multiple perspectives. One of the joys of these workshops is discovering how much singers, musicians, accompanists, and dancers can learn from one another.

Whether you have years of experience or are taking your first steps, all are welcome. The workshops are designed for participation, exploration, and connection.
