The Maldon Meehan Dancers
The Maldon Meehan Dancers are a talented dance troupe based in Portland, Oregon, USA. They train at the Maldon Meehan Dance Studio and perform at a wide range of events, including Céilís, festivals, library and storefront celebrations, birthday parties, and weddings. The troupe also makes special appearances in performances like Brightening Glance and An Damhsa.

BRIGHTENING GLANCE
In Brightening Glance, the muses collide as Maldon Meehan presents a cross-cultural percussive dance show that celebrates the cycling of the seasons. Inspired by the work of iconic Irish poet William Butler Yeats, this performance also incorporates songs from various world traditions. The show features traditional Sean-nós (or “old style”) Irish dance, American clogging, Cape Breton dance, 1930s-era tap dance, ballet, and more, creating a rich and varied exploration of percussive dance.

AN DAMHSA: AN IRISH DANCE SHOW
An Damhsa takes the audience on a beautifully narrated journey from Ireland to America and back again. This show features a wide range of musicians and dancers from both Portland and afar, showcasing an array of dance styles including Sean-nós, Irish step, Cape Breton, American clogging, tap, and modern dance. The performance is complemented by live traditional Irish and American-style music, offering a captivating and dynamic experience.
